Kapisa team conducted QA/QCs at four project sites in the District of Mahmood Raqi. The 1st was at Mohammed Omar Kheyl BHC. It appears to be progressing well. The site worker informed the engineer that there was no problem with the work. When we asked him about how deep they have gone to get water they informed us that they found water at 10 meters but will go deeper. From that project site we convoyed to Kapisa Public Library, where the project also appeared to be doing well. The contractor was not present; however, the Director of Information and Culture (Mr. Abdul Alin Shafe) was present and he wanted to now if the Library would be carpeted. He was informed that we would have to look at the contract to see if it allows for carpet, and we would let the contractor know. From that project site we again convoyed to next project site, Mohmood Raqi Safe House. This project also appeared to be doing well. This project had the electrical wire in place with all switches and outlets installed. The windows did not have the glass installed yet. We asked the site supervisor Mr. Lal Amir if they had any problem with the work and he told us there were none. We noticed that it had no staircase or concrete ramp. He told us that it will be built. The Womens Affairs Director was present and she wanted the Safe House to be carpeted. I told her that I would have to look in the contract to see if it is in there and would get back with the contractor on it. From that project we went to The Governor Meeting Hall and did a QA/QC of it; however, there does not appear to be any difference from last inspection that was done. The contractor was not present.
