Report text

CJSOTF reported a rocket attack 21 kilometers south of FOB Salerno. At 0326Z, the unit initially received three rockets at Border Security Point Four (BSP 4). The unit later reported that it received a total of five rockets at the Border Security Point. The point of impact (POI) was at 42S WB 85500 66900. The unit assessed the point of origin (POO) as 42S WB 87278 65400. The unit did not fire counter-battery at the POO. The BSP Commander sent a patrol to the POO site. The patrol cleared the POO site and found two un-launched rockets along with holes where the five rockets were fired from. The PAKMIL GHQ was notified of the rocket attack based on the proximity of the POO to the border, and it dispatched a patrol to investigate the area on its side of the border. There were no injuries or damages reported.
