At 0450Z, TF Kandahar reported receiving 2 mortar rounds on FOB Ghundy Ghar. The POO was determined to be 41R QQ 1806 9030, and the POI was 41R 170 901. Friendly forces returned fire with 155mm on mortar base plate.At 0600Z TF Kandahar reported taking a total of 8x mortar rounds. Friendly forces fired 20x 155 rounds at the point of origin (41R QQ 197 912) and close air support dropped 1x 1000 pound bomb on the poo site. ISAF Tracking # 09-010.
