010624z TF 3 Fury reports 2x Jingle trucks attacked IVO Waze Zadran

On 010624z JAN 07, A26 reported receiving report that 2 jingle trucks were under attack in Waze Zadran. A26 arrived on site only to find 2x burning jingle trucks and no drivers in the vicinity at grid WB 4508 9113. In the vicinity A26 reported 2x possible IED''s and 1x 107mm rocket. C26 w/ EOD was enroute to a different location where a reported UXO was found a day prior to this event. C26 w/ EOD was diverted to A26 location to conduct SSE of the possible IED''s in the area. At 0804z A26 reported SSE was completed and the area that was searched was clear of any IED''s and UXO''s with nothing found on site, but as for the 2x burning jingle trucks A26 w/ ANA questioned locals in the area. From the information that was gathered, it was said that 3 pax armed with AK-47s and RPG''s attacked the 2x jingle trucks for reason''s UNK. A26 reported that there was no U.S equipment on the trucks and the assessment was that this was a criminal act and there were no casualties from this attack. NFTR Analysis: The enemy has been targeting soft targets, such as jingle trucks and is expected to continue throughout the winter months. This sort of harassment is set by the enemy to deter the Afghan people from increasing commerce throughout the KG Pass. It seems like the arsonist are setting a trend by attacking their soft targets in the first week of the month. The enemy maybe shifting their TTPs and attacking more within Wazi Zadran DC than before, which most of the kinetic activity occurred from Gerda Serai District in the past.
