At 010600ZAPR09, EOD/CIED TM's were notified of several UXO items IVO Grid#: 42S VD 77519 12380, along RTE Montana; Apache element was on scene and had cordoned the area. TM responded and found (7) Mortars that were positively identified as: (4) Yugoslav Mortar, 82mm, HE, M68P1 w/Fuze, PD, UTM68 (on 3 of 4; other was unfuzed); (2) Chinese Mortar, 82mm, HE, Type 53 w/Fuze, PD, MP-1A; (1) empty Yugoslav Mortar, 82mm, HE, M68P1--no explosive hazard. TM remotely moved all items. (1) Chinese Mortar and (1) Yugoslav Mortar were determined to be armed and disposed of in place. Remaining items were secured by TM for later disposition. Area was searched prior to TM arrival and security forces found part of a circuit board and a short length of white lamp cord that had been daisy-chained IVO UXO items. These items are not believed to be related to UXO items found. TM departed scene. 1X Cache
