010215Z TF Corsair Minor SAFIRE (RPG) IVO Heydarabad

There were a series of three engagements. First engagement was at 0455 they got pushed by the JTAC to Troops in Contact IVO 41R PR 6430 2960. They engaged with 40 rounds of 30mm into the treeline and the enemy stopped firing. Second engagement: At 0628 Arrow 22 spotted enemy in woodline running North to South to cover maneuver to fire on friendly forces. EF were engaged with 30mm and HE Rockets. Both A/C fired and both crew stations fired. Arrow 22 shot 90 x 30mm and 12 HE rockets. Third engagement: At 0645 Arrow 22 noticed enemy forces trying to flank around an element of friendly troops IVO 41R PR 6481 3010. Engaged enemy with 30mm (170) and Rockets (18). Each A/C made three passes. Possible RPG against A/C. Did not see any enemy leaving from the area. Arrow 26 launched 4 flares at 41R PR 6365 2841 when passing over B/U areas. Friendlies marked with VS 17 panel and enemy location was marked with tracer fire. 70rounds, 5 rockets fired into tree line at 0620L. 41R PR 6415 2912 TIC. Friendlies marked with VS 17. Enemy was spotted on roof and then with smoke. 1 HE MSL N fired into building at 0930L.
