Report text
TF Devil reports an IED strike 10km W of Tarwa Base at 0430Z. An ABP was traveling from east to west towards Tarwa Base on a motorcycle and was struck by an IED places in the middle of the road. The IED was believed to be a pressure plate mine or a AT mine. As a result of the IED strike TF Devil requests a MEDEVAC 45km S of FOB Funk at 0414Z. PT is Afghan Border Patrol (ABP) suffering from an amputation below the right knee and is listed as urgent surgical precedence. No enemy presence. Smoke will be used to mark the PZ. CJTF76 approves MEDEVAC 09-01A at 0924Z. PT was pronounced dead at 0448Z.
