010516Z Dec 06, DRIVE BY SHOOTING TFH MOG(E) FOB Price (Gereshk)

(Delayed report) At 010516Z Dec 06, TFH MOG(E) was engaged by 3x RPG rounds from 1x TB on a motorcycle 22.2km E of NAHRI SARRAIJ DC (NAHRI SARRAIJ District, HELMAND Province). FF observed and moved into depth. FF found 15x pax in a compound, searched pax and compound. FF moved to compound next door. A lot of EW from foreign fighters IVO suspected TB SHURA. 3x TB were in over watch; possible Mortar Fire Controllers. Intent was to smoke their position with Lt Gun after searching the compound. Disruption achieved of TB SHURA through use of fires and current action. At 0650Z, FF received incoming mortar fire, CAS was on station to identify FP. Intent was to move W to dominate the high ground and deny its use to TB. Assessed to have encountered the TB Shuras outer cordon as there was much vehicle movement and picking up and dropping off PAX. At 0815Z, FF were engaged by SAF, RPG and mortar fire. FF returned fire with SAF, GPMG and 51mm and 81mm. CAS was in support. TB positions were engaged by FF and neutralized. Potential MFC party was engaged by HMG. TIC closed at 1034Z.
