D4. 01 APR TF 2Fury reports ANP TIC on RTE OHIO, 1xANP KIA

At about 0630z TF 2Fury recieved a report from the Ghazni PCC of a possible ANP TIC taking place approximately 5km south of FOB Ghazni. The Ghazni ANP sent a QRF and the 2Fury QRF was also notified and sent to investigate. The 2Fury QRF linked up with ANP at a checkpoint along RTE OHIO. The ambush was over by the time the ANP QRF and 2Fury QRF arrived on site. They searched the surrounding area and found the suspected ambush location at VC 4217 0130. However, none of the ANP involved in the ambush were on site. Locals in the area reported that the ANP were engaged by about 5 pax with SAF. There were several casings of AK-47 ammo found in this area which was approximately 6-700m off RTE OHIO. At approximately 0850z the Ghazni City Hospital sent one ANP WIA associated with the event to FOB Ghazni for additional treatment. The ANP passed away while receiving treatment in the Ghazni Aid Station. The QRF returned to FOB Ghazni at 0925z with NFTR. Event closed. ISAF Tracking # 03-014
