Report text
At 0526Z PRT Herat reported an undetermined explosion hit the first vehicle of a patrol resulted in 3xITA (Italian Army) WIA with minor wounds. 1 Vehicle hit, All ISAF slightly injured was evacuated to R2 in FSB Herat. The investigation is on going. Apparently there are only stone impacts on the vehicle not shrapnel impacts. Update 1145Z: A RCIED struck an IT vehicle. The RCIED was hidden in a drain about 13m from the raid. The explosion passed through two little trees and one of them was scorched, just the leaves were burned. NFTR. Event closed at 030300Z.
