Report text
On the morning of the 1st of November, a HUMINT source came to Firebase Lilley and reported an IED to the east of the FOB, vic Sangar OP. At 0530z, ODA sent forces out IOT investigate. 1 x IED was found at WA 255 997 with a wire leading to an 82mm mortar booby trap. The mortar had more wire leading to two fighting positions, a second IED, and eventually to a command detonation device. All IEDs and explosives were blown in place and components retrieved IOT conduct exploitation. NFTR. No casualties or damage reported. Event closed 010849z.
