IED FOUND/CLEARED FOB Shkin

At 1115z TF Catamount reported that locals in a village 10 km West of Waza Khwa reported enemy fighters had emplaced an IED in a school building. A patrol from Waza Khwa when to the school and confirmed that it looked as if it had been broken into. The ANP an dpatrol did not enter the building in the event it was booby trapped as in previous school bombing event. TF Paladin and EOD launched with air QRF at 02 0912z with SP06 and SP17 from SAL to Waza Khwa. W/D MC at SAL at 1347z. TF Paladin reported that ther was no sign of IED or demolitions in the school. The LNs reported that 12-13 TB fighters on motorcycles had come into town on 29 June and locked up the local security guard then entered the school. The school was not entered the next day because it was friday but it was entered on Saturday and school was conducted as normal. After school let out the Locals decided to request ANP help and concern over possible IED. When TF Paladin questioned the LNs they had the impression that the villagers were attempting to illicit CF aid in th ecommunity and that they never really suspected an IED was present. Villagers showed no concern of the TB fighters coming back to the village. NFTR.
