Report text
At 0520Z, TF Helmand reported 7x insurgents were positively identified moving into known fighting positions at 41R PQ 150 439 in the Garm Seer district of Helmand province. Friendly forces engaged insurgents from Balaklava check point with direct fire weapons and requested close air support. At 0557Z, friendly forces engaged insurgents with 81mm mortar and 105mm light gun from JTAC hill. Friendly forces positively identified 10x insurgents at 41R PQ 137 431. At 0602Z, CAS dropped 1x 500LB bomb on insurgent position. At 0628Z, an unknown number of insurgents engaged JTAC Hill with 3x bursts of medium machine gun fire. Friendly forces returned fire with 105mm light gun and direct fire weapons. At 0654Z, friendly forces confirmed 3x EKIA at 41R PQ 132 435. At 0716Z, no further BDA was reported.
