Report text

At 010845Z Sep 06, a patrol 6.8km SE of GARMSER DC (GARMSER District, HELMAND Province), was engaged by 3x gunmen with SAF. FF returned fire with MG enemy neutralized. CAS called but not on line in time. No positive ID of enemy casualties. SITREP at 1113Z, conducted mobile OP on E side of canal near GMR. Conducted clearance of villages. Previously unoccupied village now occupied by 15 refugee families from GMR DC. Village appeared friendly with no sign of ACM activity. Pushed S to village; appeared unfriendly. Locals informed patrol not to go any further S because approx 500m S of village contains a school of 300x TB acting as reserve for ops in GMR. Once FF confirmed village clear of ACM they extracted. TIC closed at 0920Z.
