Report text
At 0450Z, TF Helmand reported an unknown number of insurgents were positively identified with RPG''s and long barreled weapons at 41S PR 3870 8737, 1.4km northeast of Nowzad, 0.9km northeast of FOB Nowzad in the Nowzad district, Helmand province. Friendly forces conducting a security patrol in the area disrupted insurgents activity by denying access to insurgent firing positions. At 0616Z, an unknown number of insurgents fired 1x 107mm rocket with a point of impact at 41S PR 376 862. Friendly forces searched for the firing position and guided close air support to the firing position. At 0651Z, no BDA was reported. Event closed at 0602Z. ISAF tracking # 01-001.
