011600ZDEC06 DIRECT FIRE ANP TF Wild Boar 1 ANP KIA 1ANP WIA

At 011600ZDEC06 TF Wild Boar reports a patrol escorting a LN fuel truck received SAF approximately 14km northeast of FOB Warrior (500m from the Moqur District Center). As the convoy was moving along highway 1 towards FOB Warrior, 3x unkown individuals ran out into the road. The patrol slowed down, and one of the individuals exposed an AK47 from underneath his clothing (not wearing an ANP uniform), and engaged the convoy with SAF. TF Wild Boar returned fire, pushed through the attack site, and secured the fuel truck approximately 2km further down the road. A portion of the convoy returned to the site of the engagement, and received SAF again from the roof tops of nearby residences. The element returned fire and the contact ceased. Shortly after this final engagement, ANP personnel arrived at the location of the TF Wild Boar element. It was understood at this time that there were 3x ANP WIA, and 1x ANP KIA (from the engagement with the TF Wild Boar element). The ANP KIA and WIAs were taken to the Moqur District Center, TF Wild Boar had an element follow them to the DC to provide assistance (while the fuel truck and security element continued to FOB Warrior), and CAS was diverted ATT. At the Moqur DC TF Wild Boar confirmed there was 1x ANP KIA, and 1x ANP WIA (the ANP Chief of Police Roz Mohammed). At 1841Z TF Wild Boar requested a MEDEVAC for 1x ANP with GSW to right hand (Roz Mohammed). MM(E) 12-01B was approved at 1845Z. MM(E)12-01B W/U SAL 1908z, W/D WAR 2020z, W/U WAR 2033z, W/D SAL 2133z.
