MTG - SECURITY

PCC training was conducted in Mahmoud Raqi. The Governor and Provincial Chief of Police were notified five days ago that PCC training would take place today and they needed to have a staff identified and present. When the PCC training team arrived at Mahmoud Raqi, there was no one present for training. The team notified Governor Murad, who said he would ensure that people were there shortly. Soon after that, eleven ANP arrived, saying that they were there to receive PCC training. Once the training began it became evident that the ANP had no idea what the PCC was about and were not aware that this was to be their new duty. They were told that this was just a class they would have to be at once a week. It seemed evident that the Chief of Police just sent random ANP that were available at the time. PCC training is set to occur in Mahmoud Raqi again on 04 JAN 07. The PRT will contact the Governor and Chief of Police to ensure they provide the personnel that they intend to operate the PCC full-time.
